Little Girl Onsie Dress Up

Yesterday I shared with you my way to dress up a little boy onsie. Today I wanted to share with you my little girl embellishing to a plain white onsie.
I used my Cricut machine to cut the fabric. I cut the two flower layers from the Cricut Essentials cartridge at 4" and the butterfly layers from the Give a Hoot cartridge at 2".

As per usual I used Heat n' Bond on all pieces of fabric. To cut the fabric I took off the paper backing and placed the Heat n' Bond side down on cutting mat.

Then I placed a layer of painters type over the fabric and cut using blade setting as, speed 4, pressure 5, depth 1.

After ironing the appliques in place, I stitched around the edges with a small zig zag stitch. To add some extra pizzazz to the butterfly I added a wide zig zag stitch. To make the stitching standout I used the button stitch-length, making them very close, almost embroidery close.

I love the cute ruffles you can find on some diaper covers and decided to take it in a more modern/clean way.
I used the same zig zag stitch as on the butterfly. Isn't this just so cute!?!

Comment below and tell me how you dress up your little one's onsies!
