Creating a zip top purse!

I wanted to provide different closure options to the purses I am selling so I decided to use the remaining zipper on the flight suit to attach to the top.

 

Finding the right way to attach the zipper was frustrating to say the least. here are the steps (flight suit layer = Layer A, orange layer = Layer B).

First you want Layer B with wrong side facing out, place Layer A with right side out inside layer B.
Place the zipper piece between the two layers with the right side facing down.
Place the handles between layer A and B making sure they are on the side of layer A.
Sew along the top and then flip out through a un-stitched part in Layer B's bottom.

I know these steps are a bit confusing, but once you do it you'll see how it works. I seam ripped these many times so don't worry about making mistakes. :)
