Baby Carrier Customization Part 3: Adding a hood

Ok I know I have been neglecting this blog and I am so sorry. I haven't been feeling too well the past couple of weeks so I have been sipping on broth and staying in bed, no crafting :( But I am feeling much better and have gotten back on the crafting train!

Here is the last installment of the customization of the baby carrier...adding the hood.
The hood is a stiff mesh fabric that I doubled up. I wanted it to be an all weather type and with the weave it is water resistant and breathes. I have two snaps (might add a third in the middle) in between the head support and the padded back.
With the rigdity of the fabric I chose this sits off the head of the baby but can be flopped down to cover. It has 6 pleats all together with two large ones on opposite ends. This easily snaps off to be placed at the bottom of the pocket when not in use.
